I have finally spent some time in PS with some old scans, and I finally came around to updating the “sketchbook” and “Paintings” pages with some recent work. I got a sweet new camera for Christmas. The Canon Hv30 HDV cam. The day I got it me, Joe, Tj, Matt, and Kenny took it to Atlanta for a skate trip. Other than that I have just been chilling with my close friends here at home. Photos to come of this break eventually. and I will eventually upload a movie clip on Vimeo of the Kentaros ( the band I Drum for) play their first show at a sweet no pants dance punk party.

College

Went up to DC to visit Corcoran college and skate the streets. It was a crazy trip in DC though. We ran into federal properety and CIA agents who apprehended us. it was mad scary.

Summer and finals.

Summer is here. I have two days left of finals and then I a done, but then i have a whole year. but i am ok with this, because I want to be where i want to be with my portfolio. As of now i have some development and maturity, i think i am where i need to be. I really don’t want to sound or be modest. I miss her. I am done with my AP studio art portfolio, the 2d design one, it was stressful, and i feel like my portfolio was actually more of a drawing category, but it is too late now unfortunately. Here are some digi-shots of some of my art. I might make a page to support and display all my art stuff. and make this page more art and documentary photo.

Am am also really going to miss Polaroids. i love them so much, hopefully some company will bring them back. i need to get some before prices skyrocket and they all dry up and expire.

I have also been shooting slide film, some sensia i ordered, i kinda like it, no exposure correction or adjustment needed in ps, and it is ridiculously easy to scan in. here are some shots.

All my friends just graduated. I am left by myself at school for another year. Kenny is actually leaving for sac state in California in like a month, i am going to miss him, he is like one of the only few people i can really relate to. I am trying to chill with him as much as possible before he is off. tear.tear.

A lack of…nothing.

I feel stupid for always starting my blog with an apology for the lack of update. So from now on I a just going to act like there was no pause in my update ambition. Anyways, I have been busy lately filling out grant application for money for the ECP at SAIC this summer. I am really physed about going to Chicago this summer and studying photography. I have been using my olumpus xa 2 a lot lately, and shooting a lot, and respectfully developing film. It has literally taken me like 2 weeks to scan in 2 rolls and some polaroids, and some digi processing.

I have been trying to treat everything with complete and perfect organization, also while trying to stay on top of everything. I am getting ready to sell tons of shit on ebay, d50 w/ lens, drums, printer, sony digi 8. I am going to buy a 30d with the cash, i hope I can use my film lenses with it, does anyone know if the 30d will take the ae-1 50mm lens without the meter working? I hope so. O ‘well it would only be temporary anyways. I have been scanning and studying Etymology and Mythology for like 5 hours, and finally some products. SOme Tmax 100. (I dont really like this film but i bought it for cheap.) So expect better films soon. I plan to pick up my xa-2 film tomorrow from Thompsons. I am really excited after seeing HATE’s perfect bw with his XA. Anyway I got the packet from Saic and i got accepted into the early college program, and $600 in scholarships, but i am still trying to get money to have a grand time in the lovely city of Chicago. My supplies list is so awesome, it is like 10 rolls of fuji pro film and some 200iso slide film. Stuff i would have brought anyway. I love being assigned something I do without an assignment. Lots of photos from this weekend and the past weekend. It has been snowing lately, so i have been shooting a lot in the cold bitter yet lovely snow. I watched an amazing movie titled Pi today and it is amazing. The cinematography is so beautiful, all grainy BW film. I love the imagery and the chaos theory theme. I have some Polaroids, digital, and tmax100 film, so here they are with the pola-s first:

I got bored again ad scanned in old negs. I cannot believe i never scanned these in to begin with. Awesome weekend, shots tons with the XA2, im going to drop off some fuji 160c colour film, and some tri-X 400 from this weekend and a really sick snow day.
